Daily vapers outnumber smokers in Britain, ONS says

In 2024, Office for National Statistics data indicate daily e‑cigarette use in Great Britain has overtaken daily cigarette smoking for the first time. Ten percent of adults aged 16 and over reported vaping every day, compared with 9.1% who smoked daily. The figures equate to about 5.4 million vapers and 4.9 million smokers, according to the ONS.
