    PSNI officer testifies on fears after data breach

    A PSNI officer, anonymised as RB89, told the High Court she feared a drive-by shooting after the August 2023 breach that exposed names, ranks and roles of nearly 9,500 staff, accessed by dissident republicans. Up to 8,500 seek damages; PSNI admits liability but lacks funds. The UK Treasury rejected £120m aid. Her case is among six tests; proceedings adjourned.
