Gopichand Hinduja, Head of Hinduja Group, Dies at 85

Gopichand Hinduja, head of Britain’s richest family, died in London aged 85, a spokesman said. The Hinduja family topped the latest Sunday Times Rich List with a £35.3bn fortune. Hinduja led the Mumbai-based Hinduja Group, spanning finance, media and energy, employing about 200,000 globally. Succession is unclear; youngest brother Ashok oversees Indian operations, while elder brother Srichand died in 2023.
