Haiti, Jamaica Report Deaths and Damage from Hurricane Melissa

Haiti reported 43 deaths and 13 missing from Hurricane Melissa after landslides and floods hit over 30 communities; Petit-Goave had at least 25 deaths. Nearly 12,000 homes were flooded and about 200 destroyed; over 1,700 people are in shelters and water shortages persist. In Jamaica, at least 32 died, some communities remain cut off, and relief operations are intensifying.
