    DES group seeks inquiry; UK updates screening guidance

    Over 300 people formed DES Justice UK seeking a public inquiry into diethylstilbestrol (DES), pregnancy drug linked to cancers and prescribed until the 1970s. Department of Health acknowledged harms; the Health Secretary is considering support and asked NHS England to improve guidance and screening. No UK compensation exists, unlike the US and Netherlands. The MHRA apologised for a 1973 letter.
