Irish CSO excludes many land sales from report

Ireland’s Central Statistics Office reported agricultural land prices, but figures exclude sales of parcels under half an acre and transactions priced below €10,000 or above €62,000 per hectare. The data indicate only 0.5% of the country’s agricultural land area changed hands last year, while the exclusions mean large categories of transactions are not reflected in the published statistics.
