    UK to Ban Strangulation Depictions in Online Pornography

    UK ministers will propose amendments to the Crime and Policing Bill to criminalise possession and publication of pornography depicting strangulation or suffocation. The offence would be a priority under the Online Safety Act, requiring platforms to proactively block such content. Another amendment extends the time limit to report intimate image abuse from six months to three years.
