Report: Belfast Harbour supports 15.7% of Northern Ireland output

Research says Belfast Harbour handles £26.7bn in trade annually; in 2023 it accounted for 67% of goods through Northern Ireland ports. The activity supports £8.8bn GVA (15.7% of output) and 155,000 jobs. A £313m investment plan is projected to add £117.5m GVA and 850 construction jobs. The Harbour Estate’s 760 businesses support 20,000 jobs and generate £1.8bn GVA.
