    Ireland cuts State accommodation for Ukrainian refugees to 30 days

    Ireland will reduce State accommodation for newly arriving Ukrainian refugees from 90 to 30 days. A cabinet sub-committee approved the measure, proposed by Justice Minister Jim O’Callaghan, on Monday. Officials cited a recent surge in arrivals linked to eased Ukrainian travel rules for men aged 18–22. More than 114,000 have arrived in Ireland since 2022, with about 80,000 staying.
