Half Yours wins Melbourne Cup; McManus runner second

Half Yours won the €5.6m Melbourne Cup, with jockey Jamie Melham becoming the second female winner and the first woman to land the Melbourne Cup–Caulfield Cup double. JP McManus’s first runner, Goodie Two Shoes, trained by Joseph O’Brien and sent off at 40/1, finished second. Middle Earth was third, River of Stars fourth; Al Riffa seventh, Absurde eighth.
