    Fundraiser launched after Belfast man drowns in Turkey

    Belfast man Anthony Smyth, 39, drowned while on holiday at Green Canyon, Turkey, after getting into difficulty while swimming last Wednesday. He went missing and was found dead several days later. Friend Gerald O’Neill launched a GoFundMe to cover repatriation and funeral costs, raising €2,047 of a €2,700 target. Smyth’s girlfriend remains in Turkey as authorities coordinate arrangements.
