    Irish Leader Heads to Brazil for COP30 Talks

    Taoiseach Micheál Martin travels to Belém, Brazil, to join 60 leaders at a UN gathering ahead of COP30, which begins November 10. Ireland’s delegation will prioritise implementing Paris Agreement commitments, adaptation and its financing, operationalising the loss-and-damage fund with first disbursements targeted for 2026, gender-responsive climate policy under the Gender Action Plan, and highlighting Amazon biodiversity.
