    An inquest heard Garda Kevin Flatley, 49, died from multiple traumatic injuries after being struck by a motorcycle while operating a speed checkpoint on the R132 at Lanestown, Co Dublin, on May 11, 2025. Dublin District Coroner’s Court adjourned proceedings as the Garda investigation continues, listing February 11, 2026. Motorcyclist Izzet Can Berber died May 31.
