Brother warned of risk before Southport stabbings, inquiry hears

At a public inquiry in Liverpool, Dion Rudakubana testified he feared his younger brother Axel would kill someone two years before the July 2023 Southport stabbings that killed three children. He described Axel’s escalating, unpredictable violence, police callouts, and the family hiding knives. Messages from December 2022 warning of a potentially fatal incident were shown. Inquiry proceedings continue Wednesday.
