Woman Admits Manslaughter, Faces Murder Trial in Boy's Death

A 32-year-old woman pleaded guilty to manslaughter but denied murder over the March 16, 2021 death of a four-and-a-half-year-old boy. Mr Justice Paul McDermott swore in a jury of eight men and four women at the Central Criminal Court for a trial expected to last up to five weeks. The accused cannot be identified. Trial begins Wednesday.
