    Irish nun and advocate Sr Stanislaus Kennedy dies at 86

    Sister Stanislaus Kennedy (Sr Stan) has died at 86. A member of the Religious Sisters of Charity since 1958, she founded Focus Point (now Focus Ireland) in 1985, the Sanctuary in 1998, and the Immigrant Council of Ireland in 2001. She received a doctorate in 2003 and advocated housing solutions and church reforms, including support for same-sex marriage in 2015.
