    Victim speaks after offender’s mistaken release and deportation

    Hadush Kebatu’s teenage victim said she felt endangered by his mistaken release and objected to a £500 payment he received after threatening a legal challenge to removal. Kebatu, an Ethiopian national, was convicted of five offences, sentenced in September to 12 months, wrongly freed from HMP Chelmsford, then deported on 28 October after a manhunt, with no right to return.
