DJ Carey Sentencing Hearing Over Cancer Fraud Charges

Former Kilkenny hurler DJ Carey is due to learn his sentence today at a hearing over fraud charges. The 54-year-old pleaded guilty this summer to 10 counts of dishonestly inducing payments by falsely claiming he had cancer and needed treatment funds. The offences involved 13 complainants.
