    Typhoon Kalmaegi killed at least 26 people in the Philippines, mostly from flooding in central provinces. Floodwaters trapped residents on roofs. A Philippine air force helicopter with five aboard crashed in Agusan del Sur during relief operations; search efforts continue. The storm, with sustained winds near 81 mph, was crossing Palawan and expected to move into the South China Sea.
