I voted yes to repeal the 8th amendment. I wrote columns in this paper about why we should. I argued passionately with members of the Iona Institute on social media about it way back when, and I cried once on live radio talking about the plight of women who had to travel in appalling circumstances because they’d no access to their reproductive rights here.
