At the height of its seven-season run, the story of thirtysomething single mother Lorelai Gilmore and her gifted daughter Rory ranked as the 110th most popular show on the air, according to Time magazine. And it only ever received one Emmy nomination — which it won — for Outstanding Make-up, in its fourth season.
